Then bring your creations to life with color! Paint each ornament with pottery underglazes, then leave everything with us to dry, fire, glaze, and fire again for a beautiful, shiny finish. No clay experience necessary.

We’ll guide you through the process, so you can focus on creating something special. How It Works Choose from a variety of holiday shapes, including stockings, trees, stars, and more. Cut four ornaments from prepared clay slabs.

Add texture, stamped designs, names, or personalized details. Paint your ornaments with ceramic underglazes. Leave your creations with us for drying, kiln firing, and glazing.

Pick up your finished ornaments in approximately three weeks. Pricing & Registration The workshop costs $60 per person, plus tax, and includes everything you need to create four handmade clay ornaments. All clay, tools, paints, instruction, glazing, and kiln firing are included.

No additional studio fees. Registration is required, and space is limited to 12 participants. A Few Helpful Details Thursday, November 19 | 6:30–8:30 PM Limited to 12 participants Beginner-friendly, with step-by-step instruction Designed for adults and teens.

Mature tweens are welcome when accompanied by a participating adult. Each participant must register separately; sharing projects is not permitted. Please arrive on time so you don’t miss the instructions and demonstrations.

Finished ornaments will be ready for pickup in approximately three weeks. Whether you’re making a matching set for your tree or four completely different keepsakes, you’ll leave knowing you created something truly your own. We can’t wait to see what you make!

Terms and Conditions Walls of Clay has proudly served downtown McKinney for 25+ years. Our practices, policies, and procedures are designed to ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. The following terms and conditions outline the guidelines for participation in our workshops and events.

By registering, you agree to these terms. General Policies Non-Refundable Purchases: All purchases are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your scheduled event, you must notify us by email at info@wallsofclaymckinney.com or by phone at (972) 547-4472 prior to the event.

With proper notice, we will issue a credit toward a future workshop. No Shows: Failure to notify us or attend the event will result in forfeiture of your payment. No refunds or credits will be provided.

Credits: Workshop credits do not expire and may be applied toward a future workshop of equal or greater value, subject to availability. Credits cannot be applied toward regular open studio visits or redeemed for cash. Kiln-Fired Arts Disclaimer: Because of the nature of kiln-fired art, occasional imperfections, cracks, or other unexpected outcomes may occur during firing.

While we take every precaution, some factors are beyond our control. In the rare event your piece is damaged during firing, we will issue a credit along with our sincerest apologies. Specialty Items (If Applicable) Specialty items include techniques or materials not available during regular studio hours (e.g., themed techniques, specialty glazes, glass, and clay projects).

Your purchase for these events is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, notify us prior to the event to receive a credit toward a future workshop. Finished items must be picked up within 30 days of notification.

Unclaimed items will be donated or discarded. Deposits Deposits for events are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend due to a schedule conflict, emergency, illness, or weather-related issue, notify us before the event via phone or email.

Your deposit will be converted into a credit toward a future workshop of equal or greater value, subject to availability. Registration Fees Registration fees are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your registration to another individual by notifying us in advance.

If you are unable to attend and notify us before the event, your registration fee will be converted into a credit toward a future workshop of equal or greater value, subject to availability. Clay Hand-Building Items (If Applicable) You must pick up finished clay hand-building pieces within 30 days of notification. After 30 days, unclaimed items will be donated or discarded.

Glass Safety (If Applicable) Glass fusing workshops involve handling glass pieces and tools that may have sharp edges. Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by Walls of Clay staff, including the proper handling and use of glass-cutting tools. Minor cuts or injuries are possible when working with glass.

By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all safety guidelines. Alcohol Policy (If Applicable) By participating in an event involving alcohol, you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older and will consume alcoholic beverages responsibly. Walls of Clay attendees are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe, responsible means of transportation before leaving the studio.

Anyone believed to be intoxicated before entering the studio may be denied entry. Our team is dedicated to your safety. If we feel you are intoxicated or impaired, Walls of Clay LLC will take the following steps to ensure your safety and those around you: Seek a designated driver.

If no driver is available, we will ask for the contact information of someone who can pick you up. If no one is available, we will call Uber or Lyft, your choice. If you refuse steps 1, 2, and 3, we will call 911 and let law enforcement handle the situation.

General Release Pictures and videos may be taken during workshops and events for use in Walls of Clay’s marketing and advertising efforts, both in print and online. Authorization for Emergency Medical Attention By accepting these terms, you authorize Walls of Clay and its staff to administer general first aid for minor injuries or illnesses. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, you authorize Walls of Clay to summon emergency personnel and provide necessary medical care, including treatment by licensed professionals.

You accept financial responsibility for any medical expenses incurred. Liability Waiver By participating in a workshop or event, you agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Walls of Clay LLC, its employees, agents, officers, and directors from any claims, damages, or injuries arising directly or indirectly from your participation or that of a minor child.
