Rising Son Martial Arts

Rising Son Martial Arts is located at 2705 Virginia Parkway in McKinney, Texas. The business offers classes for kids, juniors, and adults, with classes meeting on Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

Classes are 45 minutes long and are personally instructed by Master Randy Points, with class sizes limited to 25-30 students. Once classes are filled, a waiting list is created on a first-come, first-served basis.

The martial arts style taught at Rising Son is called Kombido, which emphasizes the combination of soft and hard styles, long and short range techniques, and physical, mental, and spiritual strengths. Students learn skills required to defend themselves and also learn how to de-escalate and diffuse physical attacks.

Master Randy Points has over 40 years of experience in martial arts and founded the style Kombido in 2005. He is the president of the American Kombido Association, which acts as a governing body for ranking consideration for students of Kombido.

Rising Son Martial Arts can be contacted through their website or by phone at 214-514-4158, and they have a shop where students can purchase items such as uniforms, water bottles, and duffel bags.
